The Honorable Kimberly Bassett



The Honorable Kimberly Bassett is the Secretary of State for the District of Columbia, where she oversees the agency’s mission to support the Mayor’s vision for an open and inclusive government. She leads initiatives on notary commissions, international relations, and civic engagement. Prior to her appointment, Bassett served as Director of the Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives. She worked extensively in corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, and community engagement. A lifelong advocate for the arts and culture, Bassett is committed to enhancing the cultural fabric of Washington, DC.
