Leslie Whipkey



Leslie S. Whipkey, CIMA®, CFP® is a retired financial professional, who provided investment advisory and consulting services for corporations, nonprofit organizations, and individuals. Leslie earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics from Fordham University and The George Washington University, respectively. Leslie is a Certified Investment Management Analyst® professional and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. Leslie is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute™.

 

Leslie is an enthusiastic supporter of the arts. From 2003 to 2007 she served in a volunteer capacity as the Promotions Manager for the Smithsonian Jazz Café, and she has held at various times directorships on the boards of several music and arts organizations. These posts have included Dumbarton Concerts, Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County(Maryland) and Levine Music. Currently, Leslie serves on the Board of Directors for the DC Jazz Festival in Washington, DC as well as on the boards of Plays & Players and EgoPo Classic Theatre in Philadelphia. 


Leslie has completed Board Leadership training under the instruction of Michael M. Kaiser, formerly President of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and now the Chairman of the DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the University of Maryland.


Leslie lives in Washington, DC with her husband, Lee Hoffman.
