Michael Harris returns to the DC Jazz Festival for the second year. He uses music as a way to escape the day- to- day of life, inspired by the power the evocative notes of songs and music, and being a music enthusiast especially with jazz after hearing Louis Armstrong “What a Wonderful World”, Akua Allrich’s “ I Can’t Stand the Rain, and Gregory Porter’s “Be Good.”
In 2013, Michael received his associate's degree in Graphic Design from Westwood College. He currently works behind the scenes at all John F. Kennedy Center events by working with their catering and usher department. He hopes to make the transition into the event world, from catering and ushering to an event coordinator.
