DCJazzFest From Home presented by Live From Our Living Rooms
June 21-29, 2020
The first edition of the DCJazzFest From Home presented by Live From Our Living Rooms offered nine consecutive days of in-home performances and music-based humanities presentations by master-level and emerging jazz artists - DC-based and beyond - in an effort to raise relief funds for DC-area musicians who had lost their primary source of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In collaboration with Live From Our Living Rooms (LFOLR), the summer DCJazzFest From Home series (LFOLR-DC) featured DeeDee Bridgewater, Regina Carter, John Clayton and many more. Check out all the exclusive jazz content the series had to offer, and remember that you can watch replays of any performance you've missed from now until July 6th at the bottom of this page!
Donations from the LFOLR-DC series audiences will provide relief for DC area musicians who have applied for financial aid during these difficult times; applications will be open to all DC area artists and we will begin taking applications Thursday, July, 9th. Artist applications to the LFOLR-DC relief fund will be reviewed by a panel process put together by DCJF, and $1,000 allocations will be administered based on need. More information on this process will be sent out soon through our mailing list, click the "Get Updates" to learn more and to stay up-to-date about the series and any more upcoming DC Jazz Festival events.
