For 15 years, DC JazzFest presented by Events DC has been both a pillar in the communities of a culturally-diverse nation’s capital, attracting thousands of visitors from across the U.S., and a key contributor to the city’s economic growth. Last year alone, more than 82,000 people attended DC JazzFest, which included over 165 performances in approximately 42 venues across DC’s 68-square-miles, including DC JazzFest at The Wharf presented by Events DC, the marquee event.

“Each year, the DC JazzFest presented by Events DC curates an all-encompassing lineup of jazz and jazz-extension musicians, making it an indispensable contributor to the cultural diversity of our nation’s capital,” said Erik A. Moses, senior vice president and managing director of sports, entertainment, and special events at Events DC. “Events DC is both proud to continue our partnership of more than a decade with the DC Jazz Festival and honored to be the presenting sponsor of its critically-acclaimed DC JazzFest, Jazz in the ‘Hoods, Charles Fishman Embassy Series, and DC JazzFest at The Wharf.”

DC JazzFest at The Wharf presented by Events DC, June 14-16, offers a distinct urban experience with vibrant restaurants, shops, entertainment, residences, hotels, the historic Fish Market, and public parks and piers. The waterfront neighborhood reestablishes Washington, DC as a waterfront city, and offers the ideal setting for a fully immersive DC JazzFest festival experience.

“The Washington Post has long been committed to preserving and promoting the D.C. region’s vibrant arts scene,” said Kris Coratti, vice president of events and communications at The Washington Post. “We are excited to return as the official media sponsor of DC JazzFest at the Wharf, an important event showcasing our community’s best jazz artists, along with some national favorites.”
