DC Jazz Festival Presents World Premiere from MBowie and the Blast

WASHINGTON, DC- JUNE 23, 2017- The DC Jazz Festival (DC JazzFest) and Atlas PAC present Michael Bowie & the Blast for the world premiere of You Haven't Done Nothin' (YHDN) at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, Wednesday, June 28 at 7:30 PM. DC bassist and musical director, Michael Bowie will bring artists and audience together in a dynamic, multimedia "live video" performance exploring themes of social justice, freedom, and the human toll on oppression.

Although not long, my time interning for the DC Jazz Festival has been full of exciting responsibilities and learning experiences. The staff at the Festival has proven to me and fellow intern Anna Stackhouse that the only way to truly learn the ropes of the “biz” is through experience.
