Meet the Artist: Jason Moran

DATE: Thursday December 1, 2016, 1:30PM (in collaboration  with the New York University-DC campus)

LOCATION: New York University’s Abramson Auditorium, 1307 L Street, NW, Washington DC 20005

Since his formidable emergence on the music scene in the late 90s, jazz pianist Jason Moran has proven more than his brilliance as a performer. The Blue Note Records recording artist and MacArthur Fellow has been described as a “provocative thinker” by Rolling Stone and has established himself as a risk-taker and innovator of new directions for jazz as a whole. This Meet the Artist program will be moderated by DCJF Artistic Director, Willard Jenkins.

MEET THE ARTIST: A CONVERSATION WITH Jason Moran @ 1:30pm is FREE and open to the public
