Jazz 'n Families Fun Days

The following is our event listing from the 2016 DC JazzFest's Jazz 'N Families Fun Days which took place June 4-5. With over 125 events in over 50 venues in 21 neighborhoods citywide, this year’s festival was our best yet. 


Jazz 'n Families Fun Days once again partnered with the The Phillips Collection in conjunction with the Dupont Kalorama Museums Consortium annual walk weekend. A free, fun family weekend with live jazz music featured the finest talent in the region including the Eric Byrd Trio, Noble Jolley Trio, Todd Marcus, U Street Collective, BJ Simmons Quartet, Washington Performing Arts Capital Jazz Youth Ensemble, Howard Franklin Quartet, Mario Lagina Trio, David Schulman, Michael Thomas Quintet, Herman Burney Trio featuring Jazzin’ at Sitar students, Lori Williams Quartet, and the Rob Levit Trio. 

June 4 & 5, 2016 included vibrant galleries, art-making activities, an instrument petting zoo, interactive storytelling, a free film screening and much more! FREE!
